I have been teaching for 13 years, and this is my seventh year as a Gondolier! I received my Bachelor's Degree in French at Arizona State University, and became an interpreter for the International Olympic Committee. I was privileged to work as an interpreter for the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. I taught college French, and worked as a consultant and editor, but I really wanted to get back in the classroom. So, I got my teaching credential at California State University, Northridge. I also became a National Board Teacher, providing support and expertise to our campus and faculty. I love travel, and I love teaching a global studies focused Language Arts curriculum. I also love teaching in a magnet program that prepares students to be global citizens!
I am the sponsor of Knights and Ladies, a service club of Venice High seniors who volunteer on campus and elsewhere when needed. Knights and Ladies distribute program cards and yearbook photo registration, conduct campus tours, provide clerical support and host holiday parties for kindergartners with special needs at Beethoven Elementary School. Look for the sharp blue polo shirts on campus for students ready to serve with Gondo Pride!
