Winter drum line meets today after school.

Student Reporting Lab meets today in room 11 - We are supported by PBS.  Please come.

Today is the last day to sign up for Saturday school.  Seniors - 10 or more absences will make you unable to participate in senior activities like Prom and Graduation Ceremony.

BSU Character Word of the day : accountability - How are you accountable. How do you hold your friends accountable.  Write a paragraph about it and turn it to Mr. Lewis in the Dean’s Office - We will select one winner to read the response and that winner will win an iTunes gift card.

Journalism applications are due next week - Sign up to be part of the Oarsman for next semester. It is a great learning and expressive opportunity.

FAFSA or DREAM app - Need help? Come to the college center for support.

Black History Month - Spotlight on Aretha Franklin - singer and activist, with hit songs such as "Respect", and "Chain of Fools." 

Join us for our tie-dye social in Shop 1A after school on Tuesday. Bring something to tie dye- we will provide the ice cream.

BSU will meet today in the Media Arts Room. Please attend. Also, please make time to look at the display case in the main building, which highlights some important figures this Black History Month. In Black History today, we highlight James Baldwin, for his work with civil rights, standing next to MLK. Also known for his essays, his ideas are relevant today as well.

Valentines Grams- ASB is selling outside of the cafeteria for nutrition and lunch.

Support the Class of 2020- come join us in our ice skating fundraiser on Saturday at the Toyota Center

Poetry Slam – practice today and tomorrow afterschool in room 152.

Black History Month – Feb 3 1964 – half of the city in NY boycotted education regarding integration and desegregation. This one-day boycott of 460,000 students was the largest protest. A 2014 study found that NY still has among the most segregated schools, so this is still an issue that we have to work on.

Auditions for Diary of Anne Frank continue today afterschool in the Media Room.
