Donald Holland

My name is Donald Keith Holland and I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kentucky. I worked in the aerospace industry as a chemical engineer for 15+ years. My company decided to move back east so I decided to pursue my favorite field-teaching. I have been teaching at Venice High School since 2004 and was instrumental in creating the new STEMM magnet school. I currently teach Math and Engineering. I was the Class of 2013 Advisor, and have been the sponsor of the USC-affiliated MESA club (Math, Engineering, Science Achievement) for ten years. I was the first engineering teacher at Venice, introducing the Introduction to Engineering Design course in 2012-13. When I went through the credentialing program to become a teacher, I was awarded best new Math teacher in the program. I firmly believe that earning a good education is the best route to improving one's life, and I hope to teach students the tools to be a success in life.
